And How Are The Children?

My artwork has always been informed by similar threads including the overall health of those around me, in particular, the youth.

A Masai Warrior greeting, “And how are the children?” places the well-being of youth as the main salutation shared by individuals when they encounter one another. By centering the well-being of those who will inherit the earth, there is hope that those children will one day be productive members of society and live in joy and peace. Although aspirational, this is a sentiment that drives me to be a better person for my own children and to continue to fight for a better future for them and other children equally.

We can’t go back to the bullshit no matter how much these old white fucks try to force their violence upon us.
